Art



The Art Department has three fully equipped art studios. There is a PC with a library of art compact discs, for use both in lessons and for research homeworks. Alongside the computer there are books targeting a wide range of artists. Pupils in years 7-9 gain experience in all aspects of the subject by spending their three years rotating through the studios. They focus on Colour, 3D and Drawing. Medias used in Lower School include:- Oil and Water based Paints Clay Charcoal Oil pastels Extra medias used at G.C.S.E. and above include:- Modro Polystyrene modelling Canvas painting Visits are organized both to art galleries around Britain, and to countries such as Italy, Spain and France, to give students a varied view of art in general.
