Technology Building Work. April - October. Two
new rooms are being constructed. They will be furnished with up
to date technology. One room will be used for textiles work and
the other for control work. They will have equipment available to use
computer aided design and to screen print complex design. Year 10 Work Experience. 8th June to 22nd June. Work experience is organized by the Head of Upper School, Mr Crook, for all students in Year 10. The idea of work experience is not necessarily to train a student for a job, but to give an insight into the workings of anything from an office block to a working garage. New year 7 Induction Days. 9th June. This is a day when children who will begin their time at Christleton in September will have the chance to see what an average day at Christleton is like. Students arrive from their primary schools in the morning and spend the day in lessons with their soon-to-be form group. It enables the children to be a lot more relaxed on their first 'real' day at Christleton. Christleton High School Open Day. 14th June. This is the chance that all parents and new students have to see what the school is like. It is an evening where pupils have been chosen to demonstrate what goes on in a lesson for a particular subject. The students also hand the chance to children starting in September to have a go at what they are doing. The evening is a good chance for all people interested in seeing what Christleton High School is like, to experience it first hand. |
