High Sports Day. 23rd June. This is an annual event
where children can show their talents in all track and field events.
This year a new idea has been tried, with finals of events taking place
in the evening. This gave families the chance to see their children
performing. The evening was very successful. German Exchange. 24th June. This exchange gives students the chance to experience life in another country. The students have a week in Germany where they will see the sights and will see how different German schools are. The German students will come to Britain. This is a valuable experience which will make students more aware of different cultures in Europe. Swimming Gala. 26th June. This is a day when pupils from all years have the chance to compete with one-another in swimming races. Students win points for their houses that are then added together. The winning House receives a trophy that is presented in the end of year assembly. School Camp for Year 7. 29th June. This is organized for Year 7 students by the P.E department to build up a sense of trust and companionship between the Year 7 students. A whole range of activities are organized that test students physically and mentally. It also encourages teamwork amongst the students. |
