Music
Groups Tape Recording-25th March. The music groups that performed
in the Charles Mack concert recorded their music onto a tape. This
tape is now on sale for the very reasonable price of £6.99.
Christleton High
School French Exchange-25th March to 2nd April. The French
Exchange was arranged for members of the Sixth Form who received an
exchange student from Paris. The students have already been and stayed
with their exchange partners at their families' homes.
Mathematics Challenge. Students in top sets from years
9-11 took part in the U.K Intermediate Maths Challenge 1998. The questions
set were to test how the students used their skills on questions that
were out of the ordinary. The results were very pleasing, with a number
of students achieving Gold certificates, one with a 100% score. The
challenge will be set next year as well.
Charity Council Events. The Charity Council have
organized various fund raising events this year, including a non-uniform
day; a sponsored fast; collecting Easter eggs for Operation Easter
Child; collecting shoes and tools for Uganda. Other events are being
organized for next term.
Upper Sixth Form Trip to London. The Sixth Form
members that are going to leave the school in the next term went to
London for a weekend of cultural experience. Along with teachers,
they had the option of seeing some of the famous London sights. They
visited museums, the Houses of Parliament and saw a musical performance.
Everyone involved in the trip had an enjoyable time.
